TL;DR - Tinder date agrees to come home, then changes mind while cab is being booked
Had a date with a girl I met off tinder. We had matched three weeks ago, exchanged numbers and chatted for a bit, then complete radio silence from both sides. She's 35 (but fit), and I'm 32. I had a couple of younger girls I was dating (also off Tinder), so didn't really bother much about this chick.
She texted me Wednesday evening asking if I wanted to get a drink. I didn't see the text till pretty late, so I texted back telling her that we can meet on Thursday.
Thursday evening, I ask her to come over to a pub that is close to her workplace and mine, but about halfway between her home and my home. I thought she'll come straight from work, but she ended up going home and coming back for the date (this took her a couple of hours).
The meet itself went pretty well, with her initiating kino (initiating hugging as she entered, touching my arm throughout). We also changed tables within the venue (different floors), which had the effect of changing the venue. She didn't drink too much, and was halfway sober at closing time.
At the end of the date, I suggested that she come back to my place, saying we could get some food and more alcohol. Although she was initially receptive, she changed her mind while I was booking the cab, and told me that she'll come over next time. She then called a separate cab to take her home. Before leaving she gave me a long hug, then texted me from the cab saying she had a great time and wanted to see me again soon.
I live in a good part of town with lots of happening places. If the meet had started there, it could definitely have ended better. She stays with family, so her place is not really an option.
I feel that if the meet had happened closer my place, I could have closed her easily. Alternatively, this could just be ASD or LMR kicking in. Not really sure.
I do think I can close with this chick, but I need to plan the logistics better next time. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
