This sounds like a deeply personal issue. She was trying to get a rise out of you, and she got it.

You getting emotional in front of your friends, when you're trying to "be cool" seems to be the source of your irritation.

Sounds like

1) You don't know her well

2) Maybe you're ignoring red flags

3) You're mad at yourself for giving her this reaction than you should be.

It's not like she blurted out to a bunch of people in THEIR language that she likes fucking you with a strap on - thereby changing their impression of you.

Sounds like she learned her lesson. If she continues with the BS then you know you may have to drop it even though it will hurt.

Don’t hold a grudge though. She probably didn’t know you’d get that tight.

When you genuinely forgive her, let her know you forgive her and Let her make it up to you and continue as usual if you can.

My friends left and I straight on told her that what she said at the table was very inappropriate and she should watch her tongue when she makes jokes next time. (This has never happened before).

She said how much of a pussy I am for not taking a joke and I told her to gtfo of my apartment because I'm driving her home.

When you're too direct about how uncomfortable you are about something with a girl, it can have terrible consequences. Women see men as rocks. If the rock has a moment where it crumbles, the stability they believed in is gone. I am not saying the relationship is done, as a take charge demeanor may have helped. I think the bigger damage was done with your response to her answer. I am more concerned with how ashamed of the response you are that you won't even post it. Also, it doesn't matter that your friends couldn't understand the response, body language is universal.

As for resolving it, don't hyper focus on it. Water under the bridge. If you continue to care about it, it will make you look weak and it will carry on you like an invisible weight. She sensed how angry you got at the response. You may not get "responses" like that from her in the future, and she may think twice if you're "man" enough to handle jokes like that in the future as well. If anything, you know you're in trouble if you get more jokes like that, and continue to melt instead of flipping the banter back on her.

As for point 2, we listen to our gut and it tends to usually be right for a reason. If things start to seem off going forward with no recourse, yeah it's time to cut the cord. Your emotional response to her joke might have been her image of you shattering. Note that I am basing this off limited information, and don't know what your 5 years with her may have been like though.

I'll be honest it's hard to guage what advice to give you without knowing what she said. If she said something sexual than toss her to the streets. That's not LTR material or she's gotten to comfortable and is flipping the dominance on you
