This may look off topic but it's to compensate a fake news I (and more mgtows 1 year ago) fell for.

Today I read this (https://www.divorcemag.com/blog/why-do-women-initiate-divorce-more-than-men) article and posted here the news (title).

Then I found out that:

  1. The article provided no source for the claim.

  2. The same article was shared here 1 year ago and nobody noticed the lack of sources (https://www.reddit.com/r/MGTOW/comments/9kugib/90_of_all_divorces_are_initiated_by/).

  3. All articles in the web about this quoted my same link as only source, so the statistic was likely made up by the article.

  4. This whole mgtow.com thread (https://www.mgtow.com/forums/topic/looking-for-data-on-90-divorce-rate/) didn't find a source and claimed it was fake news.... except a guy who quoted this (https://www.bls.gov/opub/mlr/2013/article/marriage-and-divorce-patterns-by-gender-race-and-educational-attainment.htm) study which does not claim what we're looking for, so it's useless.

  5. One hour of Google and Duckduckgo research yielded no evidence of the claim.

I declare the article: FAKE NEWS. The thirst for karma is high, MGTOW catches lots of views, and intellectual honesty never pays. Keep your eyes open.

Thank for your attention.
