I don't. I only hit them up when I want to set up logistics for a date or something. The more you text, the more likely you are to fuck up. You may reveal too much or she may misread the tone of your messages. Use texting, and the phone for that matter, to set up dates in person and nothing else.

For the first two months, once a week quick phonecall to set up the next date. No texting. And never end a date talking about the next date.

If she initiates, the calculus changes, and if I'm free I'll see her 2 times for every 3 that she wants me (1/3 times I'm "busy" even if I'm not)

I send a 'checking in' text including setting up a meet. They're usually texting or calling me for the most part.
