This is about my only male friend and some potentially shady behavior. I've known this guy my whole life (family friends.) He is engaged to a girl he has been dating for two years now. His fiancee doesn't have Snapchat, but she knows he and I both do and snap each other now and then. I don't really use the app much and know little about it, but I guess he usually primarily snaps me so we're usually listed as #1 best friends (golden heart emoji.)

We were #1 best friends last week but work got busy and we stopped messaging each other. I opened my messages a few days ago and noticed that he and I were listed as regular best friends (smiley emoji) which wouldn't normally be weird when we've been out of contact for a while. We still didn't contact each other. Yesterday, we were listed as #1 best friends again, which doesn't make any sense since we haven't snapped each other at all?

I know if you block someone, it resets your "best friend" status with them. Is it possible he blocked someone else who had overtaken our "best friends" status causing it to fall back to me, despite us not being in contact? I can't think of a reason he'd do that if not to hide the fact that he was snapping someone in particular. I've never known him to cheat on anyone, but I've just got this feeling that he is. Obviously I want to say something to her, I don't want to freak her out if I'm misunderstanding how the app works.

Any ideas?
