I've been single for about 6 months now, dated casually but nothing real. Figured, hey, lets try this again.
Well I asked a girl I actually like out on a date, and I realized, I don't want to date for real right now. I'm happier being single and doing my own thing for the moment. As much as I feel bad turning her down. I'm happy I've made this realization now, before we actually start anything.
I think this is something that many of the single folks on this sub might want to think about. So many people are desperate to be in a relationship. Learning to be happy with yourself, when you aren't in a relationship can really make a difference in your life outlook. Realizing this, I'm actually happier than I've been for a while.
Being in a relationship shouldn't be compulsory, but just something to add to your life. It's a nice feeling to be able to look at your life, and feel complete, without someone else to fill in any missing spaces.
Sorry, feeling a little rambly and philosophical this morning. Happy weekend to all of you.
