I had a double date last night with an old friend from college. Well let's just say I started the night a single man but knew how to play the underdog if you know what I mean.

Anyway it was the first time I met my friend's fiancée. To my surprise he introduced her as his "better half." I suppose this is rather brave of my old friend considering knots have yet to be tied. And as we all know a sailor's knot is the tightest of them all, if you know what I mean.

So after this odd introduction I decided a little wordplay was in order. So I waved my right hand around my lower torso down to my knees and said, "Well this is my better half."

I think she got the picture.

So my question to you, fellow TRPers, is when will language catch up? There's all these idioms out there meant to flatter the fairer sex. But let's be real here for a second. When have words ever meant anything? When will this game end?

Thanks in advance my fellow friends
