I’m a parent of a teenage girl and I’ve been disturbed by a couple of different shows and movies that she’s watched (content explicitly targeted at teenage girls or young audiences) that seem to promote the idea that it is totally acceptable for a girl to have multiple boyfriends. And it’s always a main female character stringing along a couple of boys. The really striking thing is how it is never painted in a negative light when it’s a girl doing it. Is this becoming a trend, part of an agenda, or are they just isolated cases? The ones I remember noticing were in Twilight, Locke and Key & Sabrina on Netflix.
