I suspect women play a game of hide the father, but I don't know for sure.

I suspect that if they have sex with multiple men, they have a way to choose who the father is. The sitting, helpless egg is just another deception, just like everything else about a woman.

I doubt there would be any evidence of this because women would find a way to hide it and create confusion around it, but if there is any I'm interested.
