You know what? She was actually great. This was a beautiful sequence when they fell in love, she was a true, feminine Italian Woman that would be a good wife. The music was great in this part too. The tragedy is that she dies because of his being a mobster, and he ends up with the American Dream wife who turns into a bitch later in his life.

Unfortunately, he married the most vile specimen of women though, the American woman, more dangerous than nukes, and he payed the consequences. Bet his Sicilian wife would've been a thousand times better had she lived.

The whole movie is a tragedy. The music is very melancholic during the sequence as it represents the death and loss of a life that he could have had
