I used to have issues with this as well. In day game the setting is usually working against you (talking to a girl in the library or at her job vs at the club or a party) ..sometimes it doesnt matter but I would try to use that time to get her to a better setting by asking her for drinks or a movie later. This lets you polarize without getting too crazy trying escalate on your way to class or something. You dont escalate in bad settings you try to get to a good setting first and then escalate there, like home field advantage. This why everyone says only text logistics instead of chatting her up over text like one of her gay friends.

The best way Ive been able to "transition" the convo is to end the convo "early" like you have to something to do and say you would like to continue later at some better place (bar, movies, dinner, her place etc) . "Hah yea i love that show too...anyway ive gotta run to class, you want to catch a movie later". Not saying it will always work but it polarizes her and thats what you want.
