Not a teen (college age) but I have always noticed how every guy in my entire life especially growing up including me has been taught that women are never wrong. Even if your mom is beating the snot out of you because you failed to get your homework done before dinner, she is completely justified in doing so because she is a woman.

It wasn’t until I watched Dr.Shaym (RIP his channel, it’s still up but he doesn’t make many videos on that channel anymore) and his videos on feminism and listened in shock how he is metaphorically tearing these feminists a new one in his feminists questions answered video and his responses to the comments on that video.

The one thing that he said that completely made me aware of how much of a simp I was raised to be was when he said “Why can’t I judge a woman by the questions she asks? Why shouldn’t I?” to a comment in the questions answered video.

Ever since he gave me that shocking but needed revelation I definitely became a lot more egalitarian and I noticed that people love to use the strawman fallacy and I am glad I can easily pick those up because I have never heard of it before I watched his videos and now I realized I fell for it so many times.

I started exposing myself to things other than BuzzFeed and bombay times. I started watching and listening to people other than the msm. I started understanding, even though I celebrate my mother, how hard my father has had to work and still does to put me where I am. I started seeing through their lies, and their hate.

Not a teen, but I think it all started when feminists began touting stupid and disgusting things as empowering and progressive.

The one that really stands out, when i really started to look down at them, is when the freak who knitted from her baby oven, blood and all, was constantly being given praise and interviews.

Probably when I started to look into men's issues and when the wage gap was debunked. I asked my fellow Feminists about the issues and they said these issues were secondary. It was a hard pill to swallow at first but I feel more relieved now.

17 y/o girl here but still worth mentioning i think. I was so brainwashed until I realised how men in my family and friend group were being verbally and physically assaulted by women and weren't told anything about it. It should be common sense to anyone that this is still assault. Began following r/mensrights and it's really opened my eyes and I feel embarrassed that it's taken me this long.

When I wasn't listened to and hated online because they all met like 2 bad men in their lives and now see them all bad. I get it - phobias are hard. But, I have a bee phobia - so do I go online and bitch that bees are useless? No! I'll grow up and go get therapy for it because that's better I think that's the same here. If you're hella scared of every men you should try meeting more men and getting to know more men. Avoiding the issue won't kill it
