Sharing too much come with his own set of problems. What you say will be used to judge you and against you in the future. Friends will do that to and will think less of you even if they don't say if you share too many negative things. Also if people think they fully understand you, they will find you more boring, less impressive. They will also thing they fully understand you and can control you. And actually this is true.

While it can be purely beneficial to share with people that you trust, you shall not overdo it. Try to be silent on the things that could paint you in a bad light if not strictly necessary and don't share unecessary things. Keep some for yourself but avoid to be seen as secretive or not trustful.

You should be honest with people but that doesn't mean they must know every little detail about you. For example: If someone asks if you busted a girl's cheeks and let's say you did it with a 5/10, you just say "yes", not "yea but she wasn't pretty..." and then you start to explain how you felt or you describe the way she looked, that shit's wrong.
