I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere in the collective consciousness of anti-feminism but I came up with this today when someone was discussing their mother's narcissistic personality disorder and her spiral into feminism and I was struck by a epiphany and thought I would share. The following was my response to the woman's discussion on her belief that all feminists are narcissistic.
"You may possibly be onto something with the psychological diagnosis, but I think it requires another characteristic to fall into feminism and that is lack of involvement in sexual attraction. The absence of sexual attraction from males warps their experience with sexuality. They do not understand it on an empathic level, and so they view it from some foreign objectified perspective that probably really does make otherwise normal male advances seem like "rape" and "rape culture." The NPD diagnosis may be a lynchpin because women who are aesthetically ugly can still have sexuality if they are pleasant and have a good disposition. But when you combine ugly and NPD, it creates feminism." (should have said it creates sexual resistance).
If you look at most feminist youtube videos, they come from people who are absolutely miserable people. When you look at a great looking male or female, you can empathically imagine they are recipients of the chemical reactions of attraction from others. These are positive sensations that are critical to human happiness. When you watch feminist videos, it is different. They are generally physically unattractive, and their personality bleeds an unhappiness such that it warps their features to match their constantly brooding disposition. To me, their presentation on film does not bely the existence of sexual attraction.
Because our brains are so malleable to experience, it is no wonder feminists are projecting their warped sense of sexuality - they don't understand it. I can truly believe they have never experienced the sexual attraction at its most primal level. For them, they have been told sex is great and it is the best thing in the world, but due to their lack of sexual attraction, all they perceive sex as is a mental charade of deceit and force.
What resonates for me in this idea is analyzing feminist ideology against the "lack of sexual appeal" + "NPD" lens and seeing how the ideology finally makes a little bit of sense. Listen to how they talk about how society has made women into "objects," or any of their other inane ideology and it starts to make a little more sense.
