I physically cringed at that scene in the theater.

Those women probably don't know each other's names and wouldn't work well together.

I saw this movie with my girlfriend and she said.. Well that's stupid... Her words.. Not mine
[–]Username16425 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It was just so forced
Also, what did Mantis actually do in Endgame?
[–]lazarljubenovic1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She ate the budget.

Gayest scene ever

I think it is cringey that they feel like they need to force powerful women figures like this. It doesn’t feel natural. Wonder Woman did a great job at being natural with it I feel personally

As Abraham Maslow said, “I suppose it is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat everything as if it were a nail.”

Could've been cool if it wasn't so forced.

She is not alone....
Died with cringe at that scene. Thank god there is no more of this cancer.

Because it is a final fantasy that women would stand up and protect others? Unreal as f.

yeah it was hard to watch this scene because of how obvious the message was... i saw all of them fighting thanos as them "fighting the patriarchy". It didnt feel natural and smooth that all of a sudden all the major females grouped up in this massive battlefield to fight together, when they had already been mixing it up all across the battlefield.
[–]julie_k85 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Because they’re uneducated and say anything that suits them.
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah that scene is pretty political, as they don't have to fight together with men but without them, just cause they are strong and indipendent.

When I saw this scene in theaters all I was thinking was “What the hell does Mantis do?” She can put people to sleep and control emotions. How does any of that compare when all of them are considerably more powerful and she could be seriously hurt or killed by being present in this battle. She does not at all belong in this scene, nor should this forced scene exist.

I found it confusing that Wasp would leave Ant Man to help Captain Marvel, right when they just reunited. Same with quite a few of them, actually.

Ain't that the truth

“Show it don’t say it” was the first rule they taught me in creative writing. It‘s not that hard.

Sounds interesting, could exemplify with this instance?
[–]Magnar962 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
That and Cap's line "Avengers assemble" pretty much ruined the movie for me, they're already there, the assembling is done, no more assemby required.
You have the Rohirrim charge with everyone screaming "Death" then you have this, everyones already there, Cap basically says "Get together" and everyone charges. I get it's a callback but it's also fucking stupid.
[–]Soufiane040[S] 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
About the assemble, it was perfect for me. Everybody joining the endfight and the captain says the 2 magical words
[–]Magnar962 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Two words which make no sense whatsoever, that line brought me out of the movie completely.
[–]shotof-J2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I, a woman, felt the same way as Aaron. Unnecessary. It wasn’t enough that the women were fighting alongside the men the whole time? Pandering at its finest.

Brie went for a full Karen hair cut

No it's rooted at the scene ONLY cuz of the poorly poorly place feminist power b******* that is way overdone throughout all of captain Marvel's entire movie and now she puts that s*** into the rest of the Marvel Universe, it's a contamination of the scene and pushing an agenda that has no business being in the movie about superheroes in a fantasy world. You dont see tony stark and captain america and hulk locking pinkies and screaming boy power do you? No.... because that shit is tacky af. It takes away from the coolness of a potentially cool female superhero in the eyes of most men... when they work hard to stay antiman.

The funniest part is that they don’t even do anything after this. They run like 20 feet and then the scene changes. And they also ruin their already shitty point by having Spider-Man drop in at the end of them just standing there.
[–]Username1642-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think that that was meant to be satire
