So I got into an one sided debate with a male feminist on YouTube comment section of an Anti -Feminists videos.

I commented: “I wish the feminists in the USA can acknowledge the fact that pronouns and what gender are you identify as are not oppressions.” And I also commented: “Women in India and Middle Eastern are REALLY oppressed.”

To which he replied: “You are saying these without providing actual sources.”

So to respond, I provided 20 links to news articles about women stoned to death in several Middle Eastern countries, one of them is a 10 year-old girl. And I provided links about rape happens every 15 minutes in India, and how many “minors” (the youngest one is two and a half years old) are raped in India. Throughout all my responses, I was being totally rational and respectful, and I use commas, periods, I articulated my points of empowering/educating women in the two regions, and let the women there know they’ve been oppressed their entire lives without them knowing. I even said I would never categorize all feminists as the same, just some of them are outraged & loud, which was totally not talking about him.

To which he replied: “Your empowering and points are fake.” And proceeded to say: “Your geography knowledge was problematic.” Him saying why didn’t I include Brunei in the Middle Eastern region. Maybe it’s the religion problems tho? (But he articulated himself so poorly) Anyhow, this man gave no responses to him doing anything to help the actual-oppressed women in those regions, he just kept lashing out at me for my “fake empowerment and feminism” without any commas, periods. It almost felt like he is so angry that he can’t even articulate himself. But, I have no comebacks. ‘Cause I now see it’s impossible to have a rational debate with “some feminists”.

I almost wanted to comment: “Did you just mansplaining me?” But I didn’t. Instead I blocked him, and reported him for hate speech towards a 19 year-old girl, you know, the good-old feminists’ fashion.
