I have a girl that's a friend and I met one of her friends through her. She had just been dumped by her bf and was cheating on her, left her for another girl. Me and her hit it off and hang out a few times, I end up having sex with her one of the nights. All seems good and I'm talking of taking her on a date soon then she ghosts me. I ask my friend what's up and she says the ex came crawling back after things with new girl didn't pan out and she took him back.

This is social circle so I knew I would run into her again. The other day me, friend girl and her brother are out at a bar. Friend girl is waving me over to a table. I go over and it's the girl I like, her bf and a few other people. All seats are taken so me and my friend are standing. I hug her and say Hey! How are you? And have a min or two of small talk. I say I'll grab a drink. I get one then come back and me, my friend and the other girl talk for another min or two. I never brought up anything about the ghosting or anything about us. Then me, my friend and her brother go grab our own table. My back is to her and I talk with the other two and don't look back at her. They eventually leave.

The next day me and my friend are at someone's house doing some cooking. She says hey, you should text (the girl), she loves pumpkin pie. Invite her over. I say I don't know... Probably not a good idea. My friend hates this girls bf and is trying to get me with her instead.

I'm sure I will run into her here and there since she is good friends with my female friend. How do I handle things when I run into her? I'm trying to be cool, fun, and indifferent. Like it's the first time we met and nothing happened between us. Also do you think it was the right call not to invite her over for food that one night? I felt like that would have been needy since she ghosted me.

May seem like a dumb question but I've never really had to deal with social circle girls before and seeing them on a regular basis. I just feel like it's all so awkward but I try and put on a happy and care free face.
