It is funny how the article admits before the virus, unemployment for women was less than men, and as such they were perfectly fine with it. Now that the tables turned, the crying begins. Number 1 reason female unemployment is on the rise is most of them are occupying gender quota jobs in HR at these companies and are not essential.

To be fair they did choose those jobs over something more stable. If anything this should push women to work in other necessary fields. Electricians, Plummers, ac technicians, and metal workers are primarily men due to women choosing not to apply. There is a reason why men don't apply for the same jobs as women.

I'll say, if they wanted to make an argument on how women do more housework and homeschooling than men, I'd say that stock photo doesn't really back their argument. It's basically a bowl cut Karen mom doing whatever "essential" work there is on her laptop and the girls mindlessly playing with their devices, hoping that at their age they're not browsing TikTok or Instagram. And I bet the rest of the house is a mess.
