I often find myself frustrated when people ask me questions like "What have you been doing?". I used to tell them something along the lines of "Drumming, exercise, programming, college. It's going well." But I realized that people won't give a shit about what I'm doing if I come across as not giving a shit about it myself.

But when I say something like "Oh I'm working on this project that's gonna help me do this" and so on, my brain gets filled with these "Oh boy I hope they say I did a good job" thoughts.

And it's killing me cause I care about the stuff I'm doing and I want to share it with friends, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it without subconsciously seeking their approval.

Any advice?
