Hello guys, as the title suggests I'm moving from a smaller city to a huge one.

I'm 23, I just finished with my army conscription and I got employed in a good law firm down to a different city, plus I always wanted to move. I've spent my first 18 years in my hometown of 100k people, things were like village life, everyone pretty much know you etc. Then I went to Law school for 4 years in an even smaller town of lets say 40k people were things between people & us college students, were even more close. So basically, I've no experience in living in a huge metropolis.

The city I'm moving in has 3 million people and a lot of facts about it fascinate me,when other not so much. Like I need to get used to not walk anywhere I want to go (bad) while I need to realize that nobody pretty much know me around there or care about what I do or don't (good). Good thing is that I have like 3 group of people there already, friends from the Army, others from University etc, so the social build-up should be somewhat okay.

I would appreciate if any of you guys have any tips for smooth transitioning or even better tips for me to maximize my profit from living in a huge city. Cheers.

PS I've already planned to pick up skiing as a hobby because my Army buddies are into it, plus it seems fun and I've already bought my annual gym membership.
