Hello my TRP comrads,

I am reaching out to ask for advice on networking. I do employee benefits (B2B life & health) and am wondering what is the best way those who have started a B2B-based business have successful worked networking to grow their business.

My business model up to now has been lots of cold email and cold calls, and I was chugging along fine until this shutdown happened and all my leads are too damn cold to move until a vaccine comes out. I work in an office with lots of other agents who are 1099 like me and the only people doing any kind of meaningful business is business done from networking and referrals.

Networking isn't equal and I am not looking to put stupid money into sources that aren't going to pay back. I want to do this smart and so does anyone here have any best practices that work? I know that networking is a process and it takes time, but I'm hoping when this madness ends, I'll have another tool in my arsenal that I can look to generate leads & business from... thank you for any advice in advance.
