Not exactly questioning your valid sane suggestion "If you’re not OK with people knowing don’t do sex work. ",

however,

the digital book burning is not only impossible, it's probably easier to do than the physical variant. Articles do disappear and/or change silently with the stroke of a button.

Then there's also the presumption about the howitworkity of the interwebs not ever changing fundamentally, which, while understandable, is not necessarily true. A couple of hitlerisms get passed and bam, you're gifted the privilege of having to wear a muzzle online, dawgs'n'bishass, just like that (embellished with serious fines reducing your monthly allotted food points).
