Two days ago I posted that sugar is our primary enemy in food and thus 50g per day is maximum. What I was really happy to get from you guys, were responses that my statement was, let's say, too simple.
- One guy gave me a very detailed response how energy density of food is increased every year. I.e. we got used to it, say, 1kg of food per day, and it is really a big deal if there are 2K kcal per day or 4K kcal per day from 1kg of food. Processed food is certainly bad. And if you seriously overeat - it does not matter what type of calories you overeat. Here I almost completely agree, except one minor detail - on steroid cycle all you overeat goes to muscles, but most people here are not on AAS cycle. Dumb natties. The future is synthetic.
- I've seen few response calories in, calories out. Spend more than you eat and all will be well. And live anecdotes that if you have a very active lifestyle you can eat like .5kg sugar per day and stay in a great shape.
- What was a gem to me - a link to this or a similar video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxyxcTZccsE from doctor R Luster. He makes this videos since 2008 and claims to prove that fructose is bad. Glucose is ok, but fructose, according to his findings, is same as an alcohol and causes a fat liver. And his latest knowledge is that only your liver fat is very risky. All other fat in your body is ok.
So far, I decided to accumulate common things and to avoid differences. Food industry , obviously, wants to sell us tons of shitty and addictive food. Just because this brings tons of money.
- You'll have to cook yourself and read all the ingredients. Almost all processed food is shit.
- Lack of fiber is dangerous according to all "schools". Fiber is critical to our health and food industry does not like it - it blocks freezing and decreases a storage time on a shelf.
- Calories in / Calories out works when you prepare your food yourself. Somehow for ultra processed food our metabolism is compromised. The fact that fructose is toxic to our liver and makes it fat - that was a revelation to me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceFyF9px20Y In one of his video that Doctor made an experiment where he replaced shitty fast food full of fructose with shitty fast food full of fat and got significant improvement in insulin resistance within one day. Experiment was done on small children, that is nice, children are out future ;)
Finally, physical activity. I somehow forgot to mention it. I am not a saint, but I aim to have minimum 4 hours of moderate physical activity per day. Because once I read that if you sit on your ass 12 hours per day and then lift 1 hour per day - you are still a potato. A potato who lifts but still a potato. And I'm more than sure this significantly affects my metabolism and helps me to be in a great shape.
Sadly, I don't see to much vegan guys here, probably because they are all blue pilled, while keto awareness is rising, still I see that when people try vegan, vegetarian, keto, whole food or any other reasonable diet they all get better. Just because they start to use their brains and check what they eat.
As I see followers of all the diet cults hate the processed food and mega corps. That is awesome.
Healthy diet, reasonable physical activity, lack of stress - that should always be our goals.
Also life is not fair. High testosterone level gives me a huge advantage in amount of extra calories I can tolerate. I'm on 1500 ng/dL and I bet that those who are 200 ng/dL (which is considered normal) have a serious handicap in how they should eat and how they should train. Keep you testosterone high ;)
