Is it bad of me that I looked at that Tumblr image and my first thought was, "Ah, the surgeon is the guy who fucked the other guy's wife during her beach trip with the girls, and knows it's his kid"?

But seriously, WTF does feminism have to do with this issue? It's not about women's rights, it's about a gender normative assumption based on mathematical probability. Most parent teams consist of a mother & father, ergo that's the most common assumption. Demanding that we base all our immediate impressions on mathematical improbabilities, and rare ones at that, is like saying you shouldn't be afraid of a guy running at you screaming with a knife, because it's feasibly possible you just accidentally walked onto a movie set.

I fell for it that riddle before, but then again every surgeon I've had has been a man and I've met only one male nurse.

This is just a stupid test to be honest, sorry I have preconceived notions about genders in professions, but that doesn't make me a misogynist. My physician is a female and shes very good at her job, its why shes my doctor.

My best buddy from my college years is a male nurse and in the unit he works there are a couple of male nurses in the unit.
