There was a recent discussion about women having a desire to be overpowered by men. I know this a very straightforward way to test a man's ability to lead and see how he hands interpersonal conflicts. There were also a lot of very insightful responses. With that being said, I'd like to expound on why if this is something you constantly do....it will ruin your relationship:

  1. The biggest complaint a lot of men have is that they are not allowed to be vulnerable. A man should always have conviction and should never whine about something. With that being said, he should be able to express doubts and caution about things and may want your input or understanding. But if the dynamic is one where you are constantly wanting him to prove he is worthy of leading, this looks like a moment of weakness. You'll end up shit testing him which he's going to fail or he will just completely shut you out. Because actually connecting with you is not going to happen.

  2. It's the story as old as time. Guy and girl get married. Girl is constantly nagging and guys starts to check out. Considering how much she complains, he rationalizes that maybe if he valued her input more that would improve things. Of course they do not. So he reads books and gets on the internet and he finds the red pill. He puts his foot down. His wife is very resistant to the new him but after a while things change for the better. As long as he keeps leading, things are good. He just has to make sure he never again puts him in a position to need something from his wife that he doesn't decide himself. Now that may well be good but hardly ever is it said that his wife sucks. Women who act like that don't read Red Pill and Red Pill Women. This woman is presenting that her concerns are important and once a man is considerate of that, her behavior doesn't improve. I don't believe this is what most men dream of when they decide they want to marry you. If anything it's a lack of self awareness or inability to do any true introspection. Or she's just being lazy and just expecting him to make things better. This is the type behavior men think about when they say don't trust women.

  3. This shows a lack empathy for men. The dynamic that you constantly crave is the one that puts him in the position of authority. People are complicated. People are who they are based on their life in experiences. It's probably going to be difficult to understand how he came to be and what experiences shaped him if your default is for him to force you to get in line. You only know him on he relates to you and not who he is as a person. Is that really good enough for a long term relationship?

These are just food for thoughts.
