I made a joke this morning to an LTR prospect. We've been talking for the last month, and things are going well.
This is the third time that she can't take one, or that gets triggered by it (or a joke).
I made a joke this morning on something that just had happened to her dad. Her dad is a saint. The joke worked for this fact ("huh, is he a drug dealer?" – in response to what happened on his property by vandals.) In the moment, the joke was funny from my perspective. I recognized that I fucked up the moment I said it, and apologize profusely.
I'm always joking, about myself and the world, and she loves that out of me. I don't take life seriously at all. But sometimes, I'm goofy too, like this morning. I recognized, afterwards, that of course it was too soon, and extended my utmost since apology.
I think that I seriously offended her. This is not the first time that I feel that I'm "walking" on eggshell in some conversations with her.
Is that a red flag? The fact that she gets quickly offended or triggered by words or joke (about once on a week). I never know when she's going to get offended.
What do you guys think?
It's all very dramatic for no reason. I mean, if someone makes a bad joke and apologize, I don't dwell on it and move on. Is that the same with women?
Am I crazy here? What do YOU guys think?
Thank you!
