A vaccine for an illness your body simply has no way to create antibodies for is a life saver. Things like Rabies.

A vaccine for something 99.7% of infected survive? Something your autoimmune system can deal with just fine?

why get a vaccine for something with a 99.7% survival rate? in my home town a freedom of information request was made and no one under 40 had died from covid (i'm 37) and only 1500 people hade died in general over the course of a year, so i will take my chances. oh my home town has about 600,000 people in it.

It was placed, introduced, and messaged to appeal to Stage 3 Moralists.
They will be quite happy with it.
Me? It falls into the apathy category. I get too close to my doctor and he'll give me the jab regardless.
Did it pass the "Virtue Test" with flying colors? I think it just might have. Further rollouts and mechanisms of control which are in place now. Very sad.
More conditioning.

I get the flu vaccine yearly, and I have underlying health concerns that motivate me to get this vaccine. I have friends who have had it, and even though they survived, they are not at 100%, or even 85%.

I also travel A LOT for work, so it eliminates barriers on that front (regardless of the validity of those barriers). This is just another added to the list of vaccines I am required to maintain for international work assignments (think tropical Africa).

Already got both Moderna shots. 2nd one knocked me out for 24 hours. Spent the whole day sleeping. Stayed hydrated and it passed no issues.
