I'm gonna try and cut to the chase: Spent the last nearly 3 years in self-imposed isolation and depression, which as you can imagine affected everything about my SMV, and overall confidence.

Just on the tail end of it now and coming through the other side.

In those nearly 3 years, I haven't gamed women at all until recently. Prior to the depression, life was good, my game was strong and confidence high.

Anyway, the point of this is, I've been gaming girls more and more recently, regaining my confidence with them but I have yet to meet any of them and close the deal.

I've had to relearn the fundamentals like how to be funny and cocky again, how to DARE and not to DEER, frame and letting all of this become internalised and natural. I feel like I'm getting there again slowly but surely.

My issue is now that I have to translate that into the real world. I've been learning all of this through online communication, but the true battleground is out there, meeting them and approaching. Which I'm anxious to do after so long out. I get excited about doing it again, but I'm quickly overwhelmed with self doubt and anxiety over it.

I realise it's gonna be a problem because as funny and charming and flirty as I know I can be, it's not reflecting well in person. Even just spending time around my family, I still appear to be a grumpy, serious asshole. When I don't want to be. It's like I'm afraid to let go and be me again.

I think I know how to solve this, and it's gonna be painful, but any other suggestions would be welcome. Just wanna get back to how I used to be but stronger.
