They need to add new characters instead, take oceans 8 for example it was a good movie in my opinion because they didn’t try and rewrite characters instead they added new characters so it turned out good, vs female ghostbusters that was a remake of a iconic classic that was written specifically to be woke... how hard is it to write original content instead of remaking classics
