first off, no. feminism is defined as advocacy for women’s rights on the basis of equality of the sex’s. I have seen that excuse of “evidence” you call an article. Link me a scholarly article demonstrating the point you are making: that feminism is only here for women and thus it is bad for men. give me real concrete evidence, not a list of Wikipedia entries compiled by a incelibate Reddit user.

You should check out the the book “Feminism and Men” by Nikki van fee Gaag, it outlines a lot of the fundamental and theoretical issues men face that feminism addresses inherently. It’s less about small things feminism has done for men and more about broad long lasting issues feminism faces that would benefit men if those issues where eradicated.you can read it online for free through the ProQuest Ebook Central website.

Yes, feminism is great, I agree. In the 1900's women were treated like shit so the women's advocacy is made, hence feminism. Now, women and men appear to be equal, all is well. Women are getting job roles reserved for them, which is understandable, equal opportunities no? Women also choose not to have reservations as garbage removers, soldiers, or even fast food employees. In Canada, just a while ago there was an attempt to have a mental healthcare center for Men. Feminists stormed the place and demanded it be shut down and it happened. There all all these articles of women's deaths, ignoring that men have a much higher rate. Men rarely get a child and do not get to choose if they want one or not. Feminists use the arguments that he shouldn't have banged a pro-lifer, then why shouldn't a women have to be more careful? If a man cannot choose if he has to pay child support, why can a women choose to have a child? The road needs to go both ways. This year on Mens day in Australia, again Feminists stormed the place protesting against it. Mens day is about remembering the Fathers in our lifes, the Brothers, the Men who serve as soldiers, etc. Yet Feminism was actively against it? The court will take a women's word over a man's, Johnny Depp's case is an example. Feminists will say that men get away with that stuff but that all happens like 50 years ago or so. False accusations ruin a man's life, and yet there is no protection against it like their is for rape. If a man is caught raping, he is rightfully sentenced. If a women is caught doing the same thing, maybe a month or so in jail IF THEY ARE LUCKY. I will probably list articles if you need them, but it is very easy to find. Let me know if you'd like direct links, and in the case of evidence, care to defend the fact that feminists are for both genders? I know your argument will lead to some bs like the patriarchy, so please define what it is.

I can say confidently as a women that men and and women are not equal. you think “equality” goes only as far as legislation but it is so much deeper than that. Making rape illegal doesn’t stop rape from happening, assault is illegal yet it still happens. These are deeply ingrained social issues and you, as a man, don’t understand the issues women face simply because you don’t face those issues. I know men face a lot of issues in are society that women do not. However, at the root of all those issues is the gender binary and construct so if you are so against these issues it would make way more sense for you to be a feminist and address the ways in which feminism is lacking in terms of men’s issues. The movement is already there and most people in my generation (gen z) understand the fundamental issues the system (patriarchy;gender performance) induces and why these are bad for everyone , not just women. Also, your little point about women being able to choose if they have a kid or not and insisting men have that same option is really rapey. That’s literally just saying men should have the right to decide what women do with their bodies. If you want a child than have that discussion with the person you are sexually involved with and find someone who also want so kids and vice versa. The notion that a man should have the right to have a kid and thus a women must provide that for him since he is physically unable is really rapey and concerning. Also I am aware of the Johnny Depp case and Im fully in support of Depp. I think most people (and most feminist) would agree that is an abuse of power on Heard’d side. Like I said, that issue is rooted in the gender construct that women can’t hurt men because they are smaller; something that actively hurts men as we have seen.

Patriarchy: a system of society or government in which men hold the power and women are largely excluded from it.

The patriarchy upholds the gender binary which tells men to be masculine and tough which i’m sure you agree leads to a lot of issues in terms of stuff men can and cannot do in society. Not in terms of legislation but it terms of societal attitudes.

Ok, I agree with all your points. To transform feminism by pointing mens issues is viable, but MRA exists. Again, legislation is an important part and the gender construct is as well. I believe you mis-intepret my point of having a child. If a man and a women want a child, they must a have a mutual relationship. What I am saying is that men can't control a women's body, rightfully so. Yet a women can simply lie, have a child and extort money from a man if she pleases. Smart sex is so often taught to men, to not rape, etc. All I am asking is that it goes both ways and women are taught not to pull this kinda crap. I understand that making something illegal does not make it stop but then what are we to do? I truly believe that if something is illegal it should stop, and equality is far from that. Rape sucks, assault sucks, robbery sucks, etc. Think of it like this: If a child is taught not to do bad things, he will follow as it suits him. If he is to receive punishment then he is more likely to stay away from the bad deeds. I know that adults have way more self control, but if something is not illegal then why wouldn't a person do it for their benefit. Morals are something that differ from person to person, hence making that argument of women not doing it because of morals obsolete. I understand if you as a women are scared of walking on a street at night with a man, but again that is a gender construct. Men are more likely to face violence against them, assault, murder, robbery, the bunch. All I'm saying is that I agree that equality extends beyond laws, but laws should be a bare minimum. What you are asking, for men to protect you from rapists is again in the gender construct. It is illegal, if it happens the laws will punish the rapist and people will help you. I can see that what you are saying is viable, yet you are saying nothing at all. Women have all these campaigns to be a strong independent women, yet a if a man is going to feel proud or even suicidal he keeps it to himself. The gender construct that feminism is trying to disassemble is only for girls and women. I have not seen a single campaign for men by feminism, and if MRAs try and help men like in the examples I mentioned earlier then feminists throw a protest. In conclusion, women have all these support programs, school programs, fancy job reservations, a solid set of laws behind their issues. Men have no such programs, society often frowns upon men if they are feeling terrible and with no programs to help them suicide is common between males. A man has no such job reservations but the military draft and as I mentioned the laws dont even fit the bare minimum. Trying to downplay these problems is simply abusing the gender construct you are talking about. By saying that women have problems is true, but I have provided a lot of stuff that proves otherwise. You have simply stated that women have problems, laws are ok, and talk to feminism if you have a problem. Here I've shown men have problems, and NO SUPPORT either. That is where the issue lies. You say that if a women needs to have a baby then it is rapey. 100% agreement from me. Yet if a women forces sexual interaction, has a child, and forces money it is simply a law issue? That is my point, men are being very heavily affected by this gender construct, and feminism is not helping in anyway but for women as I showed in my examples. In some countries women have the short end of the law, and that is where feminism is needed, but here in the western world men get the short end of the law, hence the need for MRA. Trying to still shove feminism in the western world instead of attempting to help the people being wronged is just showing that sure men have problems, deal with it. Instead join us to make sure women are fine. That is literally the gender construct!

you do not understand what the gender construct is and seem to have no logical approach to the issues you claim should be fixed. You twisted what I said or you just don’t understand what I said. Either way, this conversation has proved even further that you do not understand what feminism actually is or why men face the issues they do yet you feel perfectly fine shitting on feminism and rationalizing it with extreme (and infrequent-like really rare) cases when women have coerced men and extorted money or children from them. if you genuinely think that what you advocate for, that women are not oppressed and instead men suffer more than women thus feminism is to blame, you seriously need to re-asses your perception of these issues and ask your self where the construct comes from, why it was constructed in the first place, and how it is still up held today. Then find the answer, and if you actually do find the real answers to these questions and still believe what you do, then good luck in life.

There are four(4) scholarly, peer reviewed, articles (one of which is data and stats about violence towards women) and 1 is all about the damages of patriarchy on men. You can access these through EBSCOhost and possibly JSTOR. Just Google the necessary info on Google and see what it gives you, you may not be able to access some without paying but I hope these at least provide you with areas to research and look into further.
