Nonono they didnt care about ''people'', they care exclusively about women.

That was a time were gender roles were a real and importnat part of society, you are thinking of the past with the modern mentality and thats wrong way to think about the past.

So for example sure a women couldnt be the boss of a company, but you also wouldnt see women working to death in the coal mines.

Society wasnt organized around ''rights'' like it is today, it was around roles, and men had the most deadly dangeours nasty and horrible roles by far while women live a more strict limited life yes, but also more confortable and safe.

Women lacked ''rights'' but had gigantic advantage when it came to roles. But feminism never acknowlodges any of this in any way shape or form.

A very ilustrative example is a post i saw a few days ago saying that more adult women were saved in life boats in the Titanic than male children.

Women didn't have the choice to not stay at home.

They had to and a lot of women didn't want their husband to be the sole provider or wanted to work themselves. Also, you are acting as if women if had done the jobs they weren't allowed to do could have earned themselves the right to vote.

On top of this, your point about he voted in the name of the family means women who didn't want families or widowed women wouldn't have a say as there were no men to vote for them.

Women literally couldn't open bank accounts back when first-wave feminism was around. They literally had to be married to live basically.

Both men and women were disadvantaged in different ways.

Men were disadvantaged as they were seen as labour, being forced to work and casualties. Women were disadvantaged as being treated like a house worker and a slave.

This is also ignoring many other issues that plague men and women which affect BOTH genders
