Hi ladies

I'm a long time lurker and I wanted to share my thoughts with you to show my appreciation to have found this subreddit.

I am not american and I have little to zero reproductive rights. I have always been a feminist in my heart, even when I didn't know what that meant. I have been subjected to so much male depravity and cruelty, like we all, until I could finally breathe and realize I could ask for more (respect and love, for example). Wich, again, must be the case to many women here.

What I wanted to adress is that sometimes you write in here, thinking that maybe your comment won't really matter, because sometimes you're just adressing something that's considered common sense, or maybe something that's widely discussed and stablished in your cultural enviroment. But is does make a difference.

I want to thank all the women that still do write that common sense, because then I can read it, from across the continent, where what you wrote is not the norm, and I can feel valid. I couldn't find another word to explain how I feel.

There are few feminist channels in my own language that I can actually feel conected and represented. But I have always felt so welcomed here (even though I never comment, crazy, right?). So Idk if this is really a rant, I'm sorry if I'm breaking any rules by using this flair, what I want to leave here is huge thank you and my profound love to all women that made this sub happen and that keep it going.

You all make the difference. Even with the meme reposts.

Thank you all.

Love,

Charlotte*
