Depends what emotion. Showing fundamental weakness (like displaying fear or anxiousness) generally doesn't help you. Getting heated at a fucked situation or strongly empathizing with someone's else's plight shouldn't hurt you.

The issue i see with men is that most of them act like they are strong and unemotional while in private they are coping with depression, anxiety and low self esteem, that's what i truly find pathetic.

It's more respectable to carry yourself how you are rather than play tough while actually being an overemotional snowflake, be yourself dude.

Now about emotions and women, in my experience i never had any woman use any emotionality against me, in fact they showed extreme gratitute towards it, like they recieved some sacred gift.

If your parents die yes, you will get emotional, it's to be expected, you had abusive past were you went through hell, maybe you might be emotional about it from time to time and none of that will turn the woman off from you, in fact, it will get her closer.
