Then I would invest 95% of what I have left.

Why?

A 3-8% yearly gain on investments is really fucking good if you’re a millionaire. That’s 30-80K in passive income before taxes. Then add that to the principal on a yearly basis and it grows at that same rate. 30-70K, 30.3-88K, etc.

Let that shit grow. Take out some to invest in a passion if you have one. Maybe educate yourself on business and start a company?

Bottom line, pay bills, spend 5% of what’s left over, invest the rest.

You’re expecting the short squeeze to turn you into a multimillionaire.

Let’s say this actually happens (and I’m in your position). I would pay any debt that you owe completely off. Pay all taxes up front. Buy a modest house in cash. Buy one exotic car. Invest the entire rest of the money in long positions. Continue working my 9-5 while planning a career transition.

In my case, I would pay off my house, buy an exotic, pay taxes up front, invest all my money in long positions and quit my job to focus on my entrepreneurial pursuits.

Plates come and go. Never focus all your time on plates. Never tell a plate you’re wealthy. Let them assume you’re wealthy, but never directly express that.

Also don’t fucking get married. You’ll lose half your money.
