Crosspost "Mod PSA: Addressing the Generalisations in our Sub" from /r/MuslimMarriage:

Asalam Alaykom everybody,

Ramadan Kareem, hope everybody is having a blessed month so far, and may Allah accept your fasts.

As mods, we want to remind everybody about RULE 6: NO GENERALISATIONS. This includes BOTH GENDERS.

We have been noticing a lot of man-hating and negative comments about men in our subreddit. This is NOT okay and it is wrong. The same way how we don't permit misogyny, we do not permit misandry as well. It goes both ways. We should not be making generalisations about each other. Enough with all of the generalisations and the hate. It further creates division and perpetuates toxic attitudes towards both genders

We do not want our sub to be a place where women applaud the comments speaking negatively about men. Goes the other way around too.

We want our subreddit to be a positive space.

As always, please report any rule breaking comments and posts. Continuous rule breaking will face a ban.

No more negative speech directed at men and women. No more generalisations. We do not allow this and we do not want this to be what our sub stands for.

Please modmail us if there are any questions and concerns. Thank you.
