I heard this line from my ex, and I just heard this line again yesterday from another girl... the latter girl mentioned to me a long ass time ago that she liked me. Not sure if she was serious or not, I am just giving context.

Anyway I'm wondering what the implications of this line are. Is it some sort of shit test?

The first time my ex told this to me I thought it was an implicit insult because she didn't want to look like me (or that she had some sort of superiority complex). I can't remember my response back then.

For this girl I really don't care about her she's just useful in general as a friend so I offhandedly told her 'yeah idk why either man.'

Regardless I felt the mood didn't change much in the second case (can't remember for the first) but the recurrence and similarities bothered me so I thought I'd ask here. What significance does the question pose? Is it a shit test, if not what sort of female game does this constitute?
