First, a bit about me. Male, 28, in an LTR since I was 22. This is actually my first relationship and I was a virgin before that.

I've been familiar with some RP concepts for a while, most notably thanks to the seduction community. But I've recently stumbled upon the TRP subreddit itself and it was kind of a wake-up call (see: the "Men are not happy" post).

I've read the sidebar and a good part of the recommended reading. I understand the concepts and see my interactions with the opposite sex in a new light. I've started lifting (and fucking love it) and generally improving myself, going out and socializing more, working on my appearance, etc. In other words, I strive to become the best version of myself.

There is, however, one thing I have a lot of trouble with, and that doesn't seem to be particularly covered by TRP: breaking up with your LTR, particularly someone who's really invested in you.

I've tried it before, but never had the guts (or balls) to go through with it. I know I'd be perfectly fine without her and that there's a shitload of better girls out there, but somehow I can't do it. She says she loves me more than everything, that she might hurt herself if I left because she wouldn't know what to do without me (emotional blackmail?) then denies it, can't imagine life without me, etc. I am quite certain she never cheated and she has a pretty low n-count (5).

I want to break up because I'm bored of this relationship and would like to fuck other girls, but I can't really go out and say that to her face, now can I? Maybe I care too much, I don't know. Being with the first girl you banged for six years might fuck with your head.

Here's my question: how do I get out without crushing her? Have some of you been in the same case, and how did you handle it?

TL;DR: Bored of the relationship, want out without completely destroying her emotionally.
