This is why I don’t go out

I’ve been chatting with this guy. We were gonna have a friend with benefits kind of thing. It was decided beforehand that we would do the deed. He cancelled last week and pushed our time today to today. I got an overnight sitter for my kid. I shaved my fricken everything! Wore nice clothes and even put on a lacy pair of underwear. I did my makeup even had color changing lipstick. I did my hair, I never do my hair.

He’s an hour late to pick me up. He’s wearing gym shorts, a ratty tshirt, and slippers. Yes slippers! Then he says we are going to his place and excuse the mess. He travels a lot. We get there and I offer him a couple joints and edible to keep since he said he was out. I also offer to light up. He said sure and took a few puffs then said he was good. This was bottom shelf lowest to the point of hell shit. Not a lasting or good high. Well he says he’s baked. Puts on a movie and passes out.

When he awakes, he orders glorified chicken nuggets and proceeded to browse his phone while we wait for food. After it arrives a painstaking hour later. We eat. The movie finishes. He takes me home early and doesn’t even offer a kiss.

If I wanted nuggets and a half assed movie I would have stayed home with my kid. I never go out. I only wear sweats and no makeup. I got dolled up for my needs to be met. Why are men? What do they even bring to the table?

Edit: I’m not shaming him about not having sexy time. I didn’t push him in anyway to or make a move because it was agreed upon before hand that he would make the moves. If he says in messages let’s do it w detail as to what he wants to do then decides he doesn’t want all that then that’s fine. I won’t ever push someone into it.

I messaged him before if we were still on, what we were going to do, and how casual it would be. This is why I’m frustrated. Lack of communication from him. I will not go into sordid detail about the relationship or how into me he is because it’s a pre agreed thing.

Lastly, if I’m told to dress nice and then am given that as a result then yes I am going to be disappointed and that’s what happened. If he’s not into me then he just has to say that. Nothing was said he showed up acted like crap and took me home. FWB or date wise it’s still not great to feel that way.
