I came to the realization today that movies aren't made for men anymore.
Every movie has to have a love interest. Every movie has to have a man change his life to make her happy. Every movie sees her getting mad at him because of something superfluous, or him acting completely illogical, and then spending the third act doing ridiculous things to "win her back". Iron Man 1 was badass because Tony Stark acted like a fucking man. He had a thing with Pepper Potts but he acted like a fucking man and that's what EVERYONE loved so much. Wonder why Iron Man 2/3 felt off? That's why.
Every movie ends exactly same way because movie studios realized women will buy the same fairy tale over and over again.

Women are responsible for something like 80% of consumer spending, that's why. Marketing folks carefully target their product so that it extracts maximum revenue from consumers.
