Does anyone have book recommendations for self-love, self-acceptance and compassion?
I realize most of my relationships I settle for crumbs bc I don’t believe I’m worth more. I believe I’m asking too much to have basic needs met.
I grew up being stigmatized as too much, too sensitive, high maintenance, a diva. I was abused, demeaned and treated extremely poorly by my father.
I now am left with that belief even though I desperately am trying to break it. How can I love myself if I don’t even believe I’m likable? Add on top of this being surrounded by endless LV men where these things are confirmed (in media, in friendships, in society as a whole, personally, etc).
I just want to love myself enough to be happy alone and no longer have ANY interest in dating unavailable ppl. I want to love myself enough to accept and value myself and my needs. Instead I feel disgusted by having needs, like I’m needy and unlovable.
How can I reparent myself at this age, unlearn all these painful beliefs, and heal?
I’m so tired.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
