Men are net tax payers and women are net take takers. So yes, welfare and "stimulus" is largely a bachelor tax and a tax on urbanites to pay for rural parasites. Blue states are net federal tax payers an red states are net federal tax takers.

That said, Biden's stimulus plan is essentially the same as every other politician's. They are all Keynesians. Keynesians erroneously believe that you can spend your way out of economic problems. They are wrong. Science and technology are what increases productivity and wealth, not simply taking one person's money and giving it to someone else.

Infrastructure spending is useful as infrastructure increases productivity. IPhone production does not. (IPhones being fashion, not technology.)

The only difference between the Democrats and the Republicans on stimulus is that the Democrats give our money to poor people -- some of which are lazy, some of which are stupid, and some of which just didn't win the birth lottery and were born in a slum -- whereas Republicans give our money to greedy bankers and financial fraudsters who wreck the economy and decrease actual productivity. The Democrats are the lesser of the two evils even on this issue.

The government should do stimulus spending by upgrading and investing in infrastructure and science. It should rebuild the electric grid, which is aging, obsolete, and a national security risk. It should replace all lead pipes with non-poisonous ones. It should tear down slums and build new, affordable housing. It should repair bridges and roads. It should lay down fiber optics to improve Internet speeds. It should fund the National Academy of the Sciences. There's a shit ton of spending that would produce great returns, but instead we're giving money to people so they can bid up prices on housing, rent, college, and IPhones. That money isn't going to help the poor. It's going to help landlords, corporations, and banks.

We're just going to see a lot of inflation. I'm glad I'm a house owner because our house "values" are going to skyrocket as money printer go brrrrr. Same for our stocks. Wages, cash savings, money market accounts, and bonds are all going to lose real value. Nominal values means nothing.

Meanwhile, mortgages are at 2% or so, which is negative when you take into account currency debasement. Add in the interest reduction and my mortgage is something like -2% percent. I'm being paid to not rent. That's ridiculous. But hey, your loss is my gain. Keep voting for Keynesians.

Democrats are bad at economics, but Republicans are worse.
