One thing that in my opinion doesn't get talked about enough in the manosphere is the opportunity cost of a lifestyle built around chasing women. We're seeing this happening with guys like Roosh who have gotten burned out on their player lifestyles.

While the manosphere have been focusing on the spiritual emptiness and missing out on family aspect of this, I think it has missed covering the more practical side of not building a career and wealth / nest egg if you spend your life chasing women.

When a young man decides to go to e.g. Asia or Latin America as an English teacher in his 20s, he's making a tradeoff: He's not building a potential career, business, nest-egg, or streams of income for himself. On the other hand, someone who is doing those things is probably also not spending a whole lot of time constantly chasing new women.

I'm speaking from the other side of this. I discovered the red pill only after I had started in my lucrative tech career. I moved to Asia and kept my career job ($200k+ income, which is a lot in Asia). Although there were many more opportunities to socialize, I really didn't have the energy to do so after work. On the other hand, most of the local bros I met didn't have serious career jobs, and the ones who did were the ones who didn't spend so much time chasing women.

That's when I realized the unmentioned downside of a life centered on chasing women. I could have quit my career when I was younger for a non-professional job, but then I would have been missing out on the opportunities and earnings that it had afforded me, including the move to Asia.

I am planning to quit my job soon, and can coast on my savings and investments for a long time, giving me the freedom to explore new streams of income. Would it have been worth it to have given all that up for some pussy? I would like to hear PUAs and TheRedPill answer that.

Any of you have a similar story of how taking the MGTOW path has helped you build a better life when you're not distracted by women?
