I had been texting a girl since April of last year. How did I get that far? We talked over our dms and she told me she wanted to be my friend, I gladly accepted since I liked this girl figuring out that if this was the best I could get, so be it. I also admit for the first part of the "relationship" I had an ulterior motive behind talking to her, but finally got over chasing her. Even though I got over chasing her, I still kept her around. Over time I'd try and message her trying to have a conversation. At first she was a VERY dry texter. Then suspiciously around August she started responding like a normal person. We were able to have discussions about numerous things. It set me off, as that wasn't normal. Fast forward to about December 2020, I was trying to get her to communicate what the hell she was mad at me about. I assumed it was about the dirty joke I made, it probably made her uncomfortable which I apologized for, but she never responded. Quick thing to point out, it wasn't me flirting it was just how I joked. I stopped joking like that around her because it obviously made her uncomfortable. She never had sent me back a message until I asked how many times already. She replied," You're really desperate." I was very confused but didn't feel like responding again. She then goes on to say "We never see each other in real life what's the point." That was it for me, healing the past was no longer something I wanted to do with this woman. She just basically told me she didn't like me, but in a coded message. I typed up a long paragraph on how I saw that she obviously didn't want me in her life, that we're both a waste of each others time, she replies," It wasn't my intention to do this, you deserve someone better than me, I hope I don't affect your innocence for future relationships." I've now made my decision. I'll ask her if even thinking of continuing this relationship will waste my time. Depending on how she responds I'll decide if we're friends or not. Thanks for reading,
