I think a lot of men feel socially pressured to pursue Women - and feel guilty when they aren't that bothered

The media, shaming (from society), parents, friends, porn, biology... Can all drive men to feel that it's incumbent to pursue Women.

The majority of Men have hobbies - or objective interests - that, often, are more interesting for them than women. Yet there's a feeling of guilt that plagues so many men to sacrifice their own happiness and to 'do the right thing' and 'put her first'.

There's even the trope that it's 'natural' to want to be with a woman. Like there's some deficiency in wanting to put yourselfirst and not be disposable...

Hunting animals for food, killing, looting other lands are also natural... But we have the technology to allow us to live more civilized lives and we can trade with others without having to rape and pillage.

Technology has freed us all. Settling down with a woman is now a lifestyle choice; not a requirement. Women are an option - not a necessity to a man's happiness.
