I know I'm probably gonna get banned for this, but I feel the need to point this out. I feel like most guys who identify with this movement are extremely resentful, or even hateful, of gay/LGBT men. It might be because you think women treat us better, but believe me, they don't.
Some of the worse homophobes I've ever met were women. Their homophobia is generally so subtle, it can almost go unnoticed. Gay people, especially men, are mistreated everywhere in the world, yet women don't care. They care more about comments like "smile" directed towards them, which can be completely ignored, than actual injustices.
I'm sure I don't need to bring up the family court system. Or how they're lightly punished for the same crimes. I'm thankful I won't ever experience things like custody battles and paying for child welfare. But that doesn't mean I'm unsympathetic towards men who go through those things.
Women are held in high regard everywhere, but men aren't. Especially LGBT men. And I absolutely hate phrases like "behind every great man is a woman". All credit is given to women and they still think they're mistreated. I wish they all could be a gay man for a week in the Middle East, Africa, or Southeast Asia and see what real mistreatment is.
They're also very good at pretending to be accepting and progressive on social issues, but don't actually care. If it's women's issues, yes they care. If it's men's issues -LGBT or not- they don't care at all. I thought women viewed LGBT men as non- threats and equals since we can't hurt them or abuse them the way straight men can, but I was wrong. They hate us more.
For the record, I believe men and women are 100% equal. At the same time, I also believe women are completely overrated. And I think it's sad that movements like these hate us as well (at least that's the impression I get). We should all be standing together. There's enough anti- gay women and men out there against guys like me. A movement that supports men should support ALL men.
