This is only related to MGTOW because it discusses self betterment. I'm not some Guru or prophet, nor do i claim to be. I had an interesting train of thought, and I have no better place to share it then here, with my brothers (and some lurking sisters).
How does a person get traumatized? Well if you were in a situation, where you were in control of every action, every step of the way, and you're aware of this, there is no reason to be traumatized. So to be traumatized, you must be in a situation where, not everything is under your control, and something goes wrong.
What about people who realized they are traumatized only years later? They realized they weren't in full control of the situation they were in. only months or years after it already happened, they realized someone or something that they trust, gave them the illusion they were in control, but they weren't. It is possible to have an illusion of control.
So, are we truly in control of reality? Well, no. No matter how safe the body is, there are many things that can destroy it, at any given time, meteors, radiation, car accidents, etc. This means then, that we are not in full control, every second we exist. That is, if "Me" is only my body/mind and nothing more. If the concept of "Me" doesn't only apply to my body, and there is indeed something non material out there, perhaps what religious people call a soul, if the true me, is not my body, then I have the potential of being in control of reality in many different ways, I am not aware of.
Summary: If you are not in control of what happens around you, you can get hurt, traumatized, or worse. It is possible to be under the illusion of having control, for an extended period of time. I am not truly in control of reality. Am i truly my body and nothing else? If not. Then i have potential to see what i really am, understand it, and how to use it, and then to be in control of reality in a more meaningful way. How? i don't know. Perhaps I'm entirely wrong... perhaps not. Cheers y'all.
