Hey MGTOW,
New to this thread so please don't give me too much shit just want to post this and share some of my views.
I am 26 years old and will be turning 27 by the end of the year. Through out my adolescence years my parent's constantly bombard me certain habits that has stuck to this day which has paid off. I never grew up rich but some what in between poor and middle due to my family migrating to Australia from a Asian country. My parent's came to this country with out speaking a word of english and barley nothing but able to purchase a house and pay it fully off within 5 years time back in the mid 1990's while working 7 days a week 12+ hours a day.
Most of the boomers that are my parent's age believe it or not are still working to pay of their mortgages and are living pay check to pay check. With hard word and being discipline pays off right ?
One of the most important advise was to save your money for today and one day it will look after you, live within your means and only spend money to treat yourself once you hit a target. My work is some what mediocre and doesn't really cause me to think that much but the pay is some what median to our countries wage.
While seeing all of my friends leaving home early, partying, spending money on consumerism bullshit, getting into debt to obtain a flashy vehicle or even getting a mortgage in their early 20's was not appealing to me but to my logic this is "Financial Suicide". I am not a cheap skate by all means, I enjoy spending a few hundred dollars on clothes, going for sky dives, fucking a few prostitutes from time to time, going to the movies, bars, concerts you name it none of this hurts me as I am doing it responsibly.
With great habbits and being under their roof till now I have been able to accumulate
Approx $176,000 Cash and $10,000 (current value) in stocks, and approx $17,000 in 401K.
By the age of 30, I hope to have around $100K in stocks and approx the same value in cash. Compounding $100K for 30 years I should have a million dollars when I am 60 years old. I will be deploying my cash in the next few years to invest in a property and fully get it paid off when I am 36-40 years old *in my current state*, If I moved to a different state I can fully buy a house out right in cash when I am 30 years old but I will no longer be with my parents.
There are only 3 ways to accelerate your wealth.
- Business
- If you can't beat them join them (buying stocks)
- Cash flow in property or price growth
Most of society see's me as a looser, a uneducated one living under their parent's roof. But my parent's philosophy is to possibly live with them as long as I can as they grew up raising me and I can look after them when they grow older, this also filter out potential partners as you want to have some one who is loyal, loves you and your parents.
As for females I never mention anything I have, I try and distinguish if they can be a suitable partner if they meet the criteria while be comfortable living with a guy and his parent's, this is a turn off for most but it's the only characteristic I can test someone if they are loyal or not. If they do indeed past "being a couple" we can be debt free within 5 years and be millionaires in our 40's....
Alot of western women are completely trash, no family values, no financial knowledge and just living a life full of consumerism and paying of their stupid credit cards while visioning Chad will save there day...
My philosophy is I am giving a opportunity for some one to join me in my awesome life. I don't beg to be with women why would I want to give up all my hard work when I should be testing them... If they don't want to be with me then they are missing out on a awesome life with freedom and being debt free...
Humans can be irrational and very short minded, alot of us want instant gratification but won't tend to see the long term picture and based alot of their rationalization on "yolo".
Debt is a double edge sword, use it wisely it can make you rich, use it wrongly it will become a liability and you will be a slave to it.
I am happy with what I have accomplished as it allows me to have freedom while most people don't have much of it.
Basic principles in life and great values do pay off big time with one small change can greatly improve one's life.
