I was going to post this in r/insaneparent but it's an uncle.
Backstory:
when my dad died my mom's side of the family completely alienated my brother and I. We were not rich enough or classy enough. (We were Upper middle class).
I ended up going to Medical School, and eventually moving to SE Asia.
But since my uncle alienated us he didn't know that after my dad died I changed my name (comes up later).
Alright so now that you're up to speed.
I've always loved my extended family despite them openly having great disdain for my. I added my uncle on Facebook and he found out about my public page.
I basically just share Medical news relevant to the country and people I live in.
I got a notification today on my page.
I check it expecting it to be more of Facebooks fake notifications.
I honestly wish it was!
I'm greeted with
Are you serious? What a fraud you became!!! Please remove me from being related to you now!
Wow, heartbreaking.
He doesn't know what type of doctor, what type of Medicine, or even what school I go to.
I'm glad he's only related via adoption.
I told him he can look up my license number as it's active . . . Then I told him to go fuck himself, and I blocked him.
