And I find it, completely freeing.

There are two ways to look at life. I value my friends, my parents, and my relatives. I have four friends I regularly keep in touch with from my hometown and that's about it. All of my college friends have since moved on with their lives and it was just friends in passing.

If they care so little about you, you shouldn't care at all about what anybody else thinks either.

I've been at home right now and live with family. Most people would not want to have the mental shame of doing it, but it's saved me a ton of time and money, and helping them around the house.

Do I want to live here forever? Not really, am I happy where I am now? Yes I am. And I'm blessed to have a family who will welcome me into their home and a mother and father who love me enough to put up with me.

I have no debt, no baggage and the ability to come and go as I please with zero bills to my name. In three more years I should have enough to pay for a deposit on a house, to which then I'll leave. Not at society's "rules" of I have to be independent and on my own the day after high school.

I used to think that nobody caring about you was horrible, but then I took a look at all of the popular people, and look at how shitty their lives turned out.
