When I say friendship, I mean ACTUAL friendship. Not somebody you just know from school or work, and you might engage in conversation. Not somebody you meet only through mutual friends and interact only in groups. Someone that you talk to regularly just you and him/her, someone you hang out with and someone you do stuff with. I (20M) find myself falling for every girl I come close with. I might pretend to be a close friend when in reality I want more. Meanwhile if a girl never catches my interest, I don't give her the same attention like I do my guy friends. That is why I'm starting to doubt if any true and close platonic friendship with the opposite gender is impossible. I also asked this on a different subreddit , you can see the post on my profile. The replies were yes and some of them said it was my fault I can't see women as just friends. I am interested in your opinion.
